Synopsis:
A
tale of good and evil, “The Presence” is a noir ghost story set
against the backdrop of breathtaking Oregon vistas that explores the
spiritual relationship of men and women, the value of life, and the
inevitable triumph of good over darkness. From the writer of “Under
Suspicion” with Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman, and the director of
"The Blair Witch Project," “The Presence” is a
psychological voyage through the minds of three characters, two living and
one who is already dead. In the beginning we discover a man whose mournful
solitude is broken when a woman appears and takes over his cabin. The man
is completely invisible to her and soon we discover that he is in fact a
ghost and she is the living owner of this strange property. The woman has
recently made a choice she may regret, and when her boyfriend appears to
try and reunite with her, we discover other more malevolent forces are at
work. As the hauntings escalate, otherworldly whispers ominously fill the
cabin. Spiraling to an intense and terrifying battle of good versus evil,
the film navigates through twists and turns, culminating in a climax that
will leave the audience breathless.
